Dear Church Family,

One of my favorite hymns is; “Standing On The Promises” which was the focus of the sermon last Sunday and will be this Sunday as well.  All of us have times in our lives when we face a crisis or problem and it seems larger than we can possibly bear.  Some of these come from our own misguided decisions.  Some come from the reality that we are fallen human beings living in a fallen world.  And sometimes these challenges are orchestrated by God in order to get our attention.  Why?  So, we can be reminded of his promises and learn to rely on them.  That is what that old hymn is all about.

“Standing on the promises that cannot fail, when the howling storms of doubt and fear assail, by the living Word of God I shall prevail, standing on the promises of God.”
