Peace: Facing Fear

It took me a long time to understand that fear, in and of itself, is not a sin. In fact, I have realized, during my more impetuous moments, where a healthy fear likely saved my life!

Fear is a double edged sword.

It is a part of our normal human wiring, but can keep us from experiencing God’s peace. Psychologists were not the first to advocate facing our fears – Jesus had something to say about that long before self help books were written.

Come join us at 8:36 and 11:00 for part four of our 2012 PEACE series as we look at a bunch of scared disciples on a small boat in a big storm – and what Jesus teaches all of us about “Facing Fear” on the path to peace.
